Each piece of technology eventually has to be upgraded. If devices were never updated, they would never be able to compete with the demand from complicated business demands in order to fulfil consumer and corporate demand, whether it be a legacy business system like SAP ERP or your tablet or mobile phone. Technology becomes "legacy" or old as time goes on and programmers are developed. If technology is not upgraded, it ultimately becomes obsolete.
